It’s no surprise that, as adults, continuing with the same eating habit, we gain weight easily, or struggle to maintain a consistent healthy routine.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">But here’s the truth:</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Your body is built on protein, not carbs.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">And if you want to eat healthier, feel stronger, and maintain a balanced body, then the way you plan your meals needs a little rethinking.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Let’s break it down in the simplest, most practical way.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Protein is one of your body’s biggest building blocks.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">1. Protein helps build and repair your body; y<span style="color:inherit;">our muscles, skin, hormones, and immune system all depend on protein. When you prioritize protein, your body works better, heals faster, and stays stronger.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">2. Protein keeps you fuller for longer; u<span style="color:inherit;">nlike carbs that digest quickly and make you hungry soon after, protein slows digestion and keeps you satisfied. This naturally helps you avoid overeating.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">3. Protein supports a healthy metabolism; a<span style="color:inherit;">&nbsp;diet richer in proteins helps your body burn energy more efficiently. This keeps you active, energized, and in better control of your overall health.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">4. Protein helps maintain healthy body composition</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Here’s what most people don’t know:</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Eating mainly carbs without enough protein can lead to storing excess energy your body doesn’t need. In contrast, protein supports lean tissue development and keeps your body balanced.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">WHY MEAT IS ONE OF THE BEST PROTEIN SOURCES YOU CAN CHOOSE.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">While beans, eggs, fish, and nuts all provide protein, meat remains one of the most complete and nutrient-dense sources.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">With meat, you get:</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">High-quality protein,</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Iron and zinc for stronger immunity,</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">B vitamins for energy and brain function,</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">And a satisfying meal that keeps cravings away.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">HOW TO BALANCE YOUR PLATE THE HEALTHY WAY</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">A simple rule you can start following today:</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Half of your plate should contain vegetables, they give you vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">A quarter of your plate should contain protein; Cow meat, goat meat, chicken, snail, or ram.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">A quarter of your plate should contain healthy carbs; rice, potatoes, yam, pasta, swallow, but in moderate portions.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">This approach fuels your body properly and helps you feel better from the inside out.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">REMEMBER: HEALTHY EATING ISN’T ABOUT DEPRIVATION, IT’S ABOUT BALANCE</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">You don’t have to cut off your favourite foods.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">You don’t need to starve yourself.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">You don’t need to chase unrealistic body goals.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">All you need is a healthier plate, better portions, and quality ingredients that nourish your body.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">And what better place to start than with high-quality, hygienically processed meat delivered straight to your doorstep?</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">READY TO EAT HEALTHIER? Bokoto has earned its rightful place in our pots because it is pure comfort and enjoyment and Nigerians absolutely love it.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">But amidst the vibes that come with bokoto are many unique benefits that many people don't know about, and we'll be talking about them in this blog.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Beyond the taste and nostalgia, bokoto actually brings a lot more to your table than you think.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Here are 8</span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">&nbsp;solid reasons why cow leg (bokoto) MUST be a steady part of your diet</span><span style="font-size:11pt;">.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">1. It’s Naturally Packed With Collagen &amp; Gelatin.</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Bokoto is one of the richest natural sources of collagen. Once it cooks, the collagen melts into a smooth, silky gelatin that thickens your soups and gives it that luxurious, restaurant-grade feel.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">If you love rich stews and soup, cook with Bokoto.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br/></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">2. It Unlocks Deep, Irresistible Flavor.</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">When bokoto cooks slowly, it releases a flavour so intense that even an amateur cook starts feeling like a chef. It enriches broths, boosts stews, and adds a depth you simply cannot get from regular beef cuts.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">This is why cow leg pepper soup always tastes better than “just beef pepper soup.”</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">3. It’s Incredibly Versatile.</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Cow leg fits into almost every Nigerian meal plan. You can enjoy it in:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Nkwobi</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Pepper soup</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Cow leg porridge</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Stews and sauces</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Assorted meat mixes</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Sunday rice combos</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">One ingredient, multiple delicious possibilities.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">4. Let’s break it down in the simplest, and most relatable way.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">5 Surprising Ways Chicken can help You Sleep Better.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;"><br/></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">1. Chicken Contains Tryptophan.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Tryptophan is an amino acid your body uses to produce:</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Serotonin — the “feel good” hormone</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Melatonin — the sleep-regulating hormone</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">When these levels rise, your body naturally feels calmer, more relaxed, and ready to rest. So that peaceful heaviness after eating chicken is the work of tryptophan in your body.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">2. Chicken is High in protein.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">High-protein foods like chicken keep your blood sugar steady.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">And stable blood sugar&nbsp; equals a calm nervous system.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">This calmness often shows up as light drowsiness after eating, especially if your meal includes carbs like: rice, yams, potatoes or pasta.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Carbs help your body absorb tryptophan faster, making the sleepy effect even stronger.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">3. Feeling Full Naturally Signals the Body to Rest.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">When you eat a full chicken meal your body diverts energy to digestion.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">That process triggers what scientists call postprandial somnolence or simply known as… “food sleep.”</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">It’s your body saying, “Take a break while I process this food”.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">4. Comfort Foods Make the Body Relax.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Warm chicken-based meals like: chicken pepper soup, chicken broth, chicken stew and chicken curry, tend to relax the muscles and calm the mind. It’s the same reason many people take chicken pepper soup when sick — it soothes the body.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">When the body is relaxed, sleep feels natural.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">By now, there's one question that would be on your mind, and that&nbsp; is…</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">“If eating chicken helps improve sleep, can it be used to replace sleeping pills?”</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Let's talk about that.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Chicken doesn’t put you to sleep the way a sleeping pill does.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">But it supports the biochemical processes that help your body rest, especially when combined with carbohydrates.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">When you’re in need of nighttime comfort food, a light chicken meal is a great option.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">So the next time you need something to help calm your nerves and put you to sleep, eat chicken.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Thankfully, we sell high-quality chicken at incredibly affordable prices. She ordered stir-fry spaghetti and turkey, while I ordered goat meat pepper soup. I settled down to eat, and as soon as the first spoon touched my tongue, it was an explosion of flavour in my mouth.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Normally, my friend and I would gist while eating, but that day, I couldn’t. I needed silence to focus on the goodness in my bowl.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Curious, she took a spoonful of my soup, and that was it. She pushed her spaghetti aside and joined me.&nbsp;</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">When we were done, I asked the waiter if I could meet the cook. He hesitated, but after some convincing, he agreed.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">When she came out, the first thing I said was,&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">“How did you do it? That’s the best goat meat pepper soup I’ve had in years!”</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">She laughed and said she gets that compliment a lot.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">I begged for her recipe, and to my surprise, she didn’t hesitate. We exchanged numbers, and later that evening, she sent it to me.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">The very next day, I tried it myself… and got the same mind-blowing result.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">So yes, not everyone knows how to make goat meat pepper soup that bangs. But you’re lucky, because as part of the Meat Madam family, you’re about to learn the exact recipe that changed my pepper soup-making game forever.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Follow this recipe step by step, and you’ll end up with the best goat meat pepper soup ever.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">Let’s dive in.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">INGREDIENTS</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">1 kg fresh goat meat</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">½ kg goat assorted (for that extra depth of flavour).</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">2 tablespoons pepper soup spice mix</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">1 tablespoon ground crayfish (secret flavour booster)</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">2 scotch bonnet peppers (ata rodo), blended or crushed</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">1 small onion, chopped</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Seasoning cubes</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">1 teaspoon uziza seeds (ground)</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">A handful of scent leaves (or basil, if you can’t find scent leaves)</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Salt to taste</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Water (enough to cover the meat)</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">DIRECTIONS</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><br/></span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Step 1: Prep the Meat Properly</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Wash your goat meat and assorted thoroughly with salt and warm water.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Pro Tip: Soak the meat in a little lime or vinegar water for 5–7 minutes before rinsing. It helps tone down the gamey smell without stripping the natural flavour.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Step 2: Season and Steam&nbsp;</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Add the meat to your pot with onions, seasoning cubes, salt, and a little water.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">Let it steam on low heat for 10–15 minutes, no extra water yet.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">This steaming step helps the meat release its natural juices – that’s the base of your pepper soup broth.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Step 3: Build the Flavour</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">After steaming, add more water (just enough to cover the meat).</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Now stir in your pepper soup spice, uziza, crayfish, and pepper.</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Blend a tiny piece of ehuru (African nutmeg) and add it here. It gives that irresistible, restaurant-style aroma that makes the whole house smell heavenly.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Step 4: Simmer Slowly</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Let it boil on low-medium heat till the meat is tender.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">Don’t rush this step, the longer it simmers, the richer the broth. So r</span><span style="color:inherit;">esist the urge to keep adding water, that’s how you lose depth of flavour.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Step 5: Add the Finishing Touches.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Once the meat is soft, taste and adjust seasoning, then add your scent leaves.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">Let it simmer for another 2–3 minutes and turn off the heat.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Pro Tip: You can add scent leaves after turning off the heat, that’s how you keep their fresh aroma intact.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">What you’ll have is a warm, aromatic, rich goat meat pepper soup that’s deep, balanced, and unforgettable.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">Perfect for cold evenings, post-work stress, or that weekend indulgence that reminds you of home.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Final Secret Tip:</span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><br/></span></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Always use fresh, hygienically processed high quality goat meat.&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">The flavour, tenderness, and aroma are completely different from low quality goat meat.</span></div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">At Meat Madam, we process and deliver only clean, fresh, premium quality goat meat, straight from the source to your pot.</div><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Will you be trying out this recipe?</div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;"><br/></div><div style="text-align:left;color:inherit;">Click the button below to order fresh goat meat and goat assorted from Meat Madam today,&nbsp;<span style="color:inherit;">and let’s help you make the kind of pepper soup people remember long after the bowl is empty.</span></div></div></div>

So today, let's straighten things out, let's see the facts!</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">“Does frying meat make it less nutritious?”</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Let’s take it step by step, nice and easy, so you know what’s actually happening in your frying pan. We'll talk about each nutrient present in beef and what happens to them after frying.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">1. The Protein&nbsp;</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Frying does </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">not</span><span style="font-size:11pt;"> destroy the protein in your meat. The body-building nutrients are still there.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The only thing that happens is that high heat can make the meat a bit tougher and slightly reduce the amino acid quality, but nothing drastic enough to make it “unnutritious.”</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">So yes, your fried beef or chicken is still a solid protein source.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">2. The Vitamins&nbsp;</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Heat-sensitive vitamins like:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">B vitamins (B1, B5, B6)</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">Vitamin A</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">…can reduce a bit when fried.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br/>But guess what? These vitamins also reduce when you boil, grill, roast, or smoke. It’s not a frying-only thing.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">And in meat, these vitamins are present in small amounts anyway, so the loss is not something to panic about.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">3. Minerals.</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The minerals found in meat, including Iron, zinc, selenium and phosphorus remain intact.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Heat doesn’t destroy minerals, so fried meat is still a nutritious source of essential minerals.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">But are the people who say that frying meat reduces its nutritional value totally wrong? No!</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Nutritional change can happen when meat is fried but in different conditions, and I'll list them out for you.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">1. When you fry meat, especially deep frying, the meat </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">absorbs oil</span><span style="font-size:11pt;">, which adds on more fat and calories.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">This doesn’t make the meat bad. It just means:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">You need to be mindful of the amount of oil you use.</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Avoid reusing oil several times</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Don’t let the oil get too hot and smoky</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">If you pan-fry with very little oil or use an air fryer, the change is much smaller.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">2. When meat is fried at very high heat or allowed to burn, it can form:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">AGEs</span><span style="font-size:11pt;"> (Advanced Glycation End Products)</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">HCAs</span><span style="font-size:11pt;"> (heterocyclic amines)</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">PAHs</span><span style="font-size:11pt;"> (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons)</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">These compounds can cause inflammation if consumed regularly.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">But the good news is, you prevent this easily by:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Frying at a moderate temperature</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Not letting your meat burn</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Marinating your meat before frying (marinades drastically reduce HCAs)</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">The solution is simple: cook smart.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">Now to simply ask the question again, Is Fried Meat Still Nutritious?</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">Yes, fried meat is still nutritious.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;"><br/></span><span style="font-size:11pt;">The main thing to watch is the oil and the heat level.</span></p><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">As long as you:</span></p><ul><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Fry with fresh, clean oil</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Use moderate heat</span></p></li><li style="font-size:11pt;"><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">Avoid burning or overcooking</span></p></li></ul><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">…your fried chicken, beef, goat, or ram remains a wholesome protein source.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><h2 style="margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:17pt;font-weight:700;">Enjoy Your Meat, But Choose Quality.</span></h2><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:11pt;">No matter how you cook your meat, quality matters. Whether you’re making Sunday Jollof, pepper soup, or stew, your chicken prep can make or break the final taste.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">At Meat Madam, we always say: good meat deserves good preparation.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">And when you know how to properly clean and steam your chicken, you’re already halfway to a delicious, flavorful dish.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">So let’s walk through the right way to clean and steam your chicken for that flavourful, mouthwatering taste every time.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">Step 1: Start with Fresh, Clean Chicken.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">This is where it all begins. If the chicken isn’t clean, no amount of seasoning will fix it.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">That’s why it’s always better to buy from trusted suppliers who process meat hygienically — like Meat Madam, where your chicken is cleaned, and packaged under the best conditions.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">When you receive it:</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Rinse the chicken in cold water to remove any remaining blood or residue.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Use lime, vinegar, or salt water for an extra layer of freshness, this helps reduce any raw smell.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Don’t soak the chicken for too long; a quick rinse is enough.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">Pro tip</span>: Never wash chicken directly under running water, iit can spread bacteria. Always wash in a clean bowl and discard the water afterward.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">Step 2: Season from the Inside Out.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">If you want your chicken to taste good all the way through and not just on the surface, seasoning is everything.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Combine:</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Onions (blended or chopped).</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Garlic and ginger paste.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Salt, stock cubes, and thyme.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">A touch of curry and white pepper.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Optional: rosemary or bay leaf for that rich aroma.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Rub the seasoning into the chicken pieces, making sure every part is coated. Then, let it rest for at least 20–30 minutes. If you have time, refrigerate for a few hours so the flavors sink deep.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">Step 3: Steam, Don’t Boil.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Here’s where many home cooks get it wrong – they boil the chicken immediately after seasoning. But to lock in flavor, what you actually want to do is steam first.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;"><br/></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">How to do it:</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">1️⃣ Place the seasoned chicken in a pot.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">2️⃣ Don’t add water yet, the chicken will release its own juices.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">3️⃣ Cover and let it steam on low heat for about 10–15 minutes.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">4️⃣ When the liquid starts to appear, stir and taste – that’s your natural chicken stock right there!</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Pro tip: Always save that chicken stock, it's perfect for jollof, soups, and sauces.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">Step 4: Lock in the Flavor.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Once your chicken is steamed and tender, finish it off your preferred way:</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Fry it lightly for stew-based dishes.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Grill it for smoky Jollof or party rice.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Roast for that crispy, golden skin.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Whichever route you take, the earlier steaming ensures the meat stays juicy and seasoned from bone to skin.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">Step 5: Serve &amp; Enjoy.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Now, serve that chicken proudly – soft on the inside, flavorful all through, and bursting with aroma.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">You’ll notice the difference immediately, because properly steamed chicken doesn’t just taste better, it feels better.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/><br/><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Cooking great chicken starts long before the pot, it starts with clean, fresh meat and the right preparation method.</span></p><p><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">At Meat Madam, we help you get it right from the start. Let’s find out.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:700;">Red Meat Is More Than Protein, It’s Power Food</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Red meat isn’t just “meat.” It’s real nourishment.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size:11pt;">A single serving of beef gives you:</span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:11pt;">High-quality protein for building and repairing body tissues.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:11pt;">Iron (heme iron) to prevent fatigue and anemia.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:11pt;">Zinc to strengthen your immune system.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:11pt;">Vitamin B12 to keep your nerves and brain sharp.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:11pt;">Creatine and carnosine, natural compounds that boost brain and muscle performance.</span></li></ul><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">People who completely cut red meat from their diet often miss out on these essential nutrients without even realizing it.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">The Real Problem Isn’t With Red Meat, It’s With The Processing Methods.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Fresh, unprocessed red meat is healthy. What makes it “bad” is when it’s processed into&nbsp; hotdogs, sausages, and canned meat and packed with preservatives and additives.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Or when it’s cooked carelessly, burnt, deep-fried, or drowned in unhealthy oil. Those are what create harmful compounds, not the meat itself.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">So if your beef is fresh, clean, and properly cooked, you’ve got nothing to fear.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;"><span><br/></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;font-weight:bold;">Balance It, Don’t Ban.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Health experts agree that moderation is key.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:11pt;">Eating too much of anything, even fruits, can be harmful. Whether it is those large chunks served on your meal, or the bite sized ones.peppered and served as a snack, one thing is certain - Meat brings life, flavor, and richness to our meals.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><span style="font-size:10pt;">But here’s a little secret most people don’t know -&nbsp; </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-style:italic;">not every cut of meat fits every dish</span><span style="font-size:10pt;">. Some will do better in certain dishes than others. Take Chicken for example, it will always do better in stews and rice than in soups. Of course, that’s not to shade anyone who loves chicken in their soup, but you get the gist. 😉</span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><span style="font-size:10pt;">Today, we’re talking about </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-weight:700;">five popular meat cuts</span><span style="font-size:10pt;"> and the dishes they’re absolutely perfect for. Ready? Let’s dig in!&nbsp;</span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><br/></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">1. Agemawo&nbsp;</span></h3><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">Agemawo, is that popular beef flesh that comes with skin attached. It's for people who want to enjoy the texture of ponmo and beef together in one bite and trust me, Agemawo bangs in edikaikong. When cooked right, it becomes soft, juicy, and slightly chewy, soaking up the spices and flavour in your soup, and delivering a delicious experience in your mouth. If you doubt me, buy Agemawo now, and try it for yourself.</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">&nbsp;</span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">2. Chicken Breast&nbsp;</span></h3><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><span style="font-size:10pt;">Everybody loves </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-weight:700;">Sunday Jollof Rice</span><span style="font-size:10pt;">. It's a tradition in many homes. Infact growing up, I would find it hard to concentrate during the service because I have mily mind fixed on the jollof rice at home. And they always taste the best because my mum always made them with Chicken. Even as an adult, I have tried cooking jollof with beef, with Ram meat, and even with goat meat, and while all of those are great options, none of them can compare to chicken.</span></span></h3><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">Chicken, though lean, is perfect for jollof because it cooks fast and absorbs flavors beautifully. You can marinate it in garlic, ginger, thyme and all of your favourite spices before grilling or air frying. Which ever method you prefer. Toss it on top of your jollof rice, and you’ve just taken “ordinary Sunday lunch” to “Chef-level excellence.”</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><br/><br/></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">&nbsp; In my opinion, Chicken was made for rice and rice was made for chicken. Wether it's fried rice, jollof rice, rice and stew, coconut rice, use chicken. You won't regret it.&nbsp;</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><br/><br/></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">3. Roundabout&nbsp;</span></h3><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">Roundabout (the cow intestine) may look uncookable to newbies, but it’s a classic in many of our local dishes, especially omiobe. Once properly cleaned and boiled, it turns incredibly soft with a rich, deep flavor that makes your meals irresistible.</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><span style="font-size:10pt;">In </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-style:italic;">Omiobe</span><span style="font-size:10pt;">, roundabout delivers that hearty, meaty taste that hits right in the soul — perfect for your ewedu or white rice depending on your preference&nbsp;</span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><br/></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">4. Ram Meat</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><span style="font-size:10pt;">Ram meat carries a distinct flavor from other kinds of meat. It is bold, aromatic, and slightly gamey — which makes it perfect for richly spiced dishes like </span><span style="font-size:10pt;font-style:italic;">Efo Riro</span><span style="font-size:10pt;">. When allowed to simmer in that thick, peppery sauce of tomatoes, ata rodo, and spinach, it creates magic in your pot.</span></span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">Ram meat doesn’t just complement efo riro, it elevates it.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><br/></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-size:13pt;font-weight:700;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">5. Tozo</span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">When we talk of street-style Suya goodness, tozo is the perfect cut! It is that juicy, fatty part of the cow flesh that is cut from the hump area. Its perfect balance of meat and fat ensures every bite is tender, flavorful, and smoky when grilled.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">When coated in suya spice (yaji) and slowly grilled over hot coals, tozo melts in your mouth while releasing an aroma that is just unforgettable.</span></p><p style="text-align:left;"><span style="color:inherit;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><br/></span></p><h3 style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:4pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;"><span style="font-size:13px;">So, t</span><span style="color:rgb(84, 104, 110);font-size:10pt;">he next time you’re at the market or ordering from </span><span style="color:rgb(84, 104, 110);font-size:10pt;font-weight:700;">Meat Madam</span><span style="color:rgb(84, 104, 110);font-size:10pt;">, remember — the right meat cut can transform your cooking from “nice” to “mouthwatering”. So choose smart, and cook with confidence.</span></span></h3><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;">Because with the right meat, every meal can taste like a celebration.&nbsp;</span></p><p style="text-align:left;margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;, serif;font-size:13.3333px;">Order now to get your meat ready for you next delicious creation.
