Today, we’re sharing a recipe straight from Meat Madam’s kitchen; Crispy Fried Ram Meat.
It’s juicy on the inside, golden and crunchy on the outside, and trust us… it will disappear from the table before you blink twice.
INGREDIENTS YOU'LL NEED:
Fresh tomatoes.
Fresh pepper (as hot as you like it).
Onions (sliced and blended).
Your favourite blend of spices.
Salt (to taste).
Ram meat (washed and cut into sizes of your choice).
METHOD:
1. Make the Pepper Base; Blend fresh pepper with tomatoes and onions into a smooth pepper mix. This will be your flavor-packed base.
2. Prep the Ram Meat; Wash the ram meat thoroughly and place it into a clean cooking pot.
3. Cook in Its Own Juices; Pour the pepper mix over the meat, add in some freshly sliced onions, sprinkle in your seasoning mix, and a little salt. Stir well, cover the pot, and let the meat simmer on low heat. No water needed, the ram will cook in its natural juices, intensifying the flavor.
4. Simmer Until Tender; Allow the meat to cook gently until it becomes tender and infused with the peppery goodness.
5. Separate & Fry; Once tender, remove the meat pieces from the broth (save the broth for soups, stews, or jollof). Heat up some oil, then deep-fry the ram until it’s golden brown and crispy on the outside.
6. Cool & Serve; Allow the fried meat to cool slightly. Now, your crispy fried ram meat is ready to devour.
